Psalm 13

I've been kind of depressed the past two days and this Psalm stuck out to me.

1: How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
2: How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
3: Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
4: Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.
5: But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
6: I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

I'm in love with music. I'd probably go nuts without it. So I'm going to start posting various music videos I find on Youtube so you can get an idea of what I'm into.

This is a live performance by Marissa Nadler of her song "Diamond Heart" from her 2007 album Songs III: Bird on the Water. It was one of my favorite records of last year and I think this song is a good representation of it's sound.

So this is my first post. I don't know what the heck I'll blog about... Everything I guess. I needed a hobby!

My name is Brandon. I'm 22 years old and I live in Ohio. I know, you're thinking "Why?" I'm not sure. I love music and also enjoy movies and art. I live with my dad, my brother, and my sister (who is a butthead). I have two dogs and a cat. I am not an interesting person if you can't tell by now.. But bear with me.

I am a Christian. Although I was raised that way all of my life I'm actually pretty new in the faith. I'll probably talk about that a lot on here. If any fellow Christians end up reading this, please, advice is welcome and greatly appreciated.

The title of my blog comes from an album by the Japanese band Ghost. Great band, great record.
